Community Relations Coordinator: St. Francis of Bellingham

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate volunteer services and community events for this facility.

Responsibilities:
Work with facility staff to determine volunteer needs, recruit volunteers from within the community, and assign volunteers accordingly.
Train, supervise and schedule volunteers; keeping accurate records of their service hours.
Promote volunteer recognition in the facility and coordinate an annual recognition event.
Work with the Recreation Therapy Department to create monthly calendars for happy hour entertainment, Sunday services, and other special events on a monthly basis.
Coordinate a variety of relevant programs for the facility, and establish and carry out marketing plans for events.
Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Manage the facility gift shop including purchasing, seasonal displays, marketing, daily and monthly financial reports, and sales tax reports.
Qualifications and Skillsets:
Associate''s degree or Bachelor''s degree in a related field, and 1
years of experience.

years of experience planning events on both a small and large scale.

years of experience in fundraising, budget management and inventory control.
Must possess a current food worker/handler's card in this state.
Knowledge and experience interacting with residents of this nature.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and must be flexible and adaptable.
Must present a professional appearance and reputation to represent Avamere and this facility.
Must work effectively as a team member and with management staff, and must be able to work independently and/or unsupervised.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language, and possess strong and effective communication skills.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
