Job Description

The Senior International Tax Analyst is responsible for 1) helping the Company be compliant with tax laws and regulations throughout the world 2) assisting with the preparation of the quarterly tax provision for our financial statements; 3) assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies to minimize our global taxes; and 4) mentoring and developing the tax analysts.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Provision- Assist in the preparation and review of the international components of our global annual and quarterly tax provision
Estimate the tax impact of various foreign inclusions (dividends, SubF, 956, etc.)
Maintain FIN48 calculations for our foreign entities
Provide guidance to foreign controllers as they prepare of their local tax provisions

Compliance- Assist in the preparation and review of various tax returns
Prepare and review the international components of our US Consolidated tax return (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118)
Compute E&P and tax pools, SubF, Foreign Source Income, etc.
Review of our Canada tax returns (income and indirect)
Assist with documenting our transfer pricing positions
Assist in resolving tax notices and audits particularly in Canada and the US

Advisory Services- Help leaders throughout the organization understand relevant tax issues to assist them in making the best decision for the Company
Cash Repatriation
Expatriate Issues
Transfer Pricing
Indirect Taxes
Information Reporting (1042, W8, W9, etc.)

Planning and Research
Maintenance of existing structures that drive tax benefits
Assist in the development of new ideas to generate cash tax savings
Research issues including SubF, FTCs, Withholding Tax, Tax Treaties, etc.
Required Skills

Project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
Professional oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with field controllers and senior management.
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and administrative skills.
Ability to manage, interpret, and report on highly fragmented, often voluminous data.
Advanced knowledge of software programs for tax as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Corptax and SAP is a plus.
Required Experience

Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance required. Advanced Degree in tax preferred.
CPA, though not required, is strongly preferred.
5 year of tax experience with at least 2 years of international tax experience at a Big4 Accounting Firm or US-based multinational organization.
