Job Description
Responsible for assisting the Digital Equipment Leader in make-ready, operation, maintenance and housekeeping on the digital book line, keeping the line properly supplied with roll stock, performing accurate recordkeeping, for observance of safety rules, and all end of line disposition duties.
Assist the Press Technician as directed in the make-ready of the digital press line including make-ready on binding equipment.
Coordinate accurate delivery of paper and prepare rolls for hanging and maintain complete consumption records.
Assist Press Technician on run by following established quality inspection standards.
Practice good paper conservation procedures and notify the Digital Equipment Leader of defective stock.
Complete paper verification checklists to ensure correct paper is being used.
Demonstrate strong team skills.

Requirements
Ability to work with solvents and inks.
Ability to do basic mathematics and have sound mathematical reasoning.
Effective communication skills & ability to interpret written and verbal instructions with limited supervision.
Previous successful operation of multi-function machines including computer proficiency and electronics
Experience using mechanical hand tools and measurement devices (standard and metric)
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime.
Must be willing and able to backfill for the Digital Equipment Leader.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be in good standing (no Final Warnings within past 12 months)
NOTE: This is currently an 8 hour rotating shift position; subject to change to a 12 hour shift.
Preferences
Preference given to those in current position no less than 90 days.
Preference given to those with previous experience in leading work teams.
Previous experience in a printing environment preferred.
Must meet minimum requirements stated above.
