Engineering Team Lead

Abraxas has a need for a Mid-Senior Level Engineer who will lead a team of engineers, developers, and administrators in the development, delivery, enhancement, and maintenance of web-based and standalone system solutions and tools. These systems, tools and capabilities will enable the development, storage, retrieval and sharing of intelligence products. The Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for the delivery, operation, monitoring and enhancement of the program systems and tools and will provide architectural and roadmap recommendations for technology advancement. Additional responsibilities include tasking the development team and developing and delivering capabilities that meet requirements within the system delivery schedule, generating system documentation and specifications, and configuration management of the software and system deliverables. The Engineering Team Lead will also support the Program Manager by providing briefings and status of team progress in formal meetings and technical exchanges.

years of experience with developing and maintaining database-backed systems and database tools

years of experience with database architecture including design of data models and schemas

years of experience with data transformation and conversion between database and structured formats
2
years of experience writing technical documentation

years of experience working within Windows, Linux and/or UNIX environments
B.S. Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
Proven ability to lead technical teams in the successful delivery of software systems and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience briefing senior personnel
Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Publisher)
Familiarity with the Customer Group computing environment, standards, and policies.
Experience using link analysis tools and software
Experience with Content Management Systems
Experience with GIS technologies
Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle
Experience with Web Service Development
Experience with Agile SCRUM development
Experience working within the Project Management Framework
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
