General
Summary:
This position will be responsible for leading the Warehousing and Logistics Categories across the Procurement organization and supporting Supply Chain logistics globally across North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Canada. The individual will be expected to lead and deliver Procurement's financial and process goals and objectives, drive strategic alignment and strong partnership with Supply Chain Logistics leadership, utilize category and procurement expertise to deliver results and lead the connection of Campbell's business units to influence and implement category strategies. Develop RFIs and RFPs as well as lead negotiations and execute contracts. Perform financial analysis and risk assessment to recommend most optimal solutions to the businesses. Position is responsible for approximately $50MM - $100MM in spend.
In addition, this position will support strategic Supply Chain Logistics' productivity initiatives that generate cost savings and process improvement while maintaining high levels of customer service, as well as assist Logistics in maintaining company compliance to Federal, industry and internal regulations and guidelines.
Primary
Responsibilities:

The candidate will act as the organizational representative in dealing with Senior Management, key internal stakeholders, Campbell's business units, and external Warehousing & Logistics suppliers.
Additional accountabilities include the following:
Strategy development
- Partner with business in strategy development for the Warehousing and Logistics area
- Translate strategy into tactical plans and support execution
- Define and implement mechanisms to ensure Logistics alignment/engagement
- Remain abreast of industry trends/changes to identify impacts to Campbell Soup
- Drive continuous improvement within area of responsibility
Sourcing leadership
- Provide direction to team members with respect to Procurement Sourcing activities for large/complex
projects
- Develop category strategy in support of Supply Chain Logistics' objectives/strategy
- Conduct RFXs/Auctions, analyze responses, and make recommendations
- Define negotiation strategies and lead execution
- Support the contracting process in strong collaboration with Logistics and Legal.
- Drive standardized policies and procedures across businesses
- Guide client in the development of Statements of Work (SOWs) as needed for services
Supplier relationship management
- Collaborate with business and suppliers to deliver continuous improvement and cost reductions
- Manage resolution of supplier issues to ensure business continuity as required
Client relations
- Establish strong working relationships with key customers
- Support Logistics' strategy
- Support issue resolution creatively
- Drive compliance with preferred suppliers and policies and procedures
Job Complexity:

The incumbent must have the ability to interact with team members at all levels in the organization, as well as senior leadership across multiple functions. The individual must have the ability influence the direction of the business and align and engage resources that are outside their area of responsibility.

The incumbent must have solid coaching and influencing skills to ensure team success.

The incumbent must demonstrate strategic thought leadership in moving Procurement strategies forward with respect to indirect category.
Minimum Requirements:

BS/BA in supply chain related field

Minimum of 7-10 years experience in Procurement of Warehousing and Logistics Services

Certifications and Licensing Preferred: MBA & CPM

Demonstrated track record of business results in a matrix environment and/or with multiple companies

Cross company and/or cross matrix experience working in managing large complex projects

Excellent negotiating skills

Strong leadership and influencing skills

Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Demonstrated self starter and able to set executive direction

Able to travel 20% (mainly domestic with some global)
