Senior Design Engineer

Design metal and conventional steel buildings from standard buildings to heavy structure buildings in accordance with US and Canada standards. Detailed job duties include: Calculate and be responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely design package in accordance with CBC guideline, US and Canada codes and standards. Interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications and customer order contracts for necessary information required to design the project. Provide technical expertise over the phone, in-writing and during face-to-face meetings with Builders, Erectors and District Sale Managers. Develop strong relationship with CBC Builders and adapt to their needs while assuring project profitability. Work with Engineering Manager and other CBC departments as needed to create economical solution making CBC Builders competitive in the marketplace. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and at least two years experience. Must have mental building and steel building design experience. Must have metal building software experience including StaadPro, Risa3D, RamSteel, CFS and MBS.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
