Job Description:
The Malware Analyst examines malicious software, such as bots, worms, and trojans to understand the nature of their threat. This task usually involves reverse-engineering the compiled executable and examining how the program interacts with its environment. The analyst may be asked to document the specimen's attack capabilities, understand its propagation characteristics, and define signatures for detecting its presence.

Education/
Experience:
Must have a bachelors Degree in a relevant area of study (suggested areas of study include Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance/Security, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, and Business Management) and 5
years experience involving work directly related to listed skill areas. Will consider a degree from a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE) and 5 - 9 years directly related experience. Prefer incumbent to possess relevant certifications such as:
Core: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ISC, CAP
Related: CISSP, CISM, ISC, ISSMP, CompTia, SANs, GIAC, PMP
EOE/AA/M/F/Disabled/VetEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
