Description
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
Must be willing to work shifts (EVES/MIDS) or weekends.

Qualifications:
- Shall have five (5) years of systems administration experience administering user accounts, performing server subsystem configuration, network management, installation of software, performing backups, CM and general system maintenance.
- Must have experience in LINUX, UNIX, and/or Solaris System Administration
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years experience.
- Experience with working in a CLOUD environment as an administrator and/or Developer. Cloud certification would be a plus.
- Programming skills in Perl or Bourne Shell.
- Knowledge of query syntax, data flows and of how to manipulate traffic.
- Strong customer service, organizational skills, knowledge of applicable NSA policies and procedures.
- Experience in updating and maintaining web pages.
- Experience in resolving complex situations for operational mission critical systems.
- A self-starter, capable of working both independently and in team environments.
- UNIX or MS Windows system administration experience (Linux, Solaris), understanding of fundamental networking and distributed computing environment concepts, performance tuning and capacity planning of servers (hardware and software levels), ability to write simple Perl/Shell scripts, and knowledge of Oracle (including installation and setup) is required.
- Knowledge of how C/C++, DBMS and Perl work together.
- Understanding of analytical needs and requirements.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
