The data architect has responsibility for creation of the data models and data architecture. The Data Architect Consultant will use input from the business requirements, JADS, application requirements, business intelligence needs, source system data structures and content, ETL architecture and code, and the DBA. The data architect will be in a pivotal role in gaining validation of the data requirements and rules in conjunction with program goals, data policies and procedures. The data architect must have a background within the clinical data management and health insurance data-warehousing context and has the following background
Experience:
Skills:
CA Erwin 7.3/8.2/9 Expert Level,
SQL Expert Level,
Teradata - or similar VLDB,
Clinical Data a must,
Data warehouse,
SAS (reading only)
Practice
Experience:
Agile Data Modeling
Gathering of Reference Data, Business Rules, Transformation rules, statistical models supporting campaign identification and suppression target populations.
Logical and physical data models with data modeling tool such as CA Erwin, coordinating updates and enhancements with the application development teams.
Document the business definitions for the entities and attributes.
Communicate and syndicate business entity model with key IT and business stakeholders.
Data Profiling and Analysis
Data Standardization, Classification, and Rules Development
Data Quality Principles
Metadata and Data Mapping (Source Column, Transformation, Target Column)
Data Stewardship & Data Governance Familiarity
Data Warehouse / Data Mart previous Project Experience Required
Dimensional modeling
Message modeling
3NF data modeling
Subject Matter Expertise:
Health Care , Clinical Informatics, HIE/HIX, POMIS/PMS, or EMR exposure a MUST
Claims processing
Disease and Care Management
Knowledge of Trizzeto Facets and Care Advance useful.
BI and Analytics in Health Insurance / Managed Care
Health Care Data Mining and advanced concepts in Health Care Analytics
Total Population Management Analytics in Health Care
