Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and manage the delivery of applications or software that meets our clients' business objectives by: building customer relationships, project planning, estimating, executing, tracking, and implementing of the deliverables.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of multiple consulting projects as a billable consultant; provide proactive control of schedule, hours used, and completion criteria
Facilitate contact between Sirius and the customer to take responsibility for maintaining a high level of satisfaction
Provide pre-sales support to the Sirius sales organization by meeting with potential customers and describing our solutions and project approach
Partner with the functional business areas, external customers, and vendors in defining application/project priorities, scope approach, resource requirements, timing, deliverables, and funding
Assist with writing contracts for consulting services
Prepare and present accurate Statements of Work (SOW) estimates for deployment and development projects
Provide leadership and direction to the project team
Requirements
Position Requirements & Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
At least three years experience managing Information Management/BI/BA projects
Experience in one or more of the following skills sets
Information Management software (Cognos, FileNet, Kofax, DataStage, InfoSphere Warehouse, DB2 Enterprise, etc.)
Background in consulting with IBM or an IBM Business Partner)
Other Position Requirements:
Demonstrated consulting background
Experience managing IBM software implementations
One or more years experience in managing projects using the full software lifecycle development model
Demonstrated understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design
Demonstrated understanding of the internet, intranet, and client/server architectures
Demonstrated ability to understand and explain technical material
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Preferred
Qualifications:
One or more of the following certifications: CAPM, PMP, Masters Certificate in Project Management, Masters Degree in Project Management
Essential Functions:
The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customers sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
