The GUI Team Lead is a functional expert in the field of UI development. This person will lead software development teams and participate in the firm's technology architecture group. The team lead is responsible for architecture, user experience, as well as implementation reviews. They will lead a team to deliver projects, platform improvements, and stability improvements. This person will work closely with technical analysts, business customers, project managers, visual designers, and web service developers.
Responsibilities
? Act as a technical lead, directing the work of other development team members.
? Collaborates with solution architects and Software Engineers to select the right solution for projects, balancing strategic and tactical goals.
? Buy/build a set of reusable templates, widgets, and pattern library components
? Mentor junior team members on traditional engineering methods and current best practices.
? Contribute to UI framework strategy and SDLC.
? Participate in QA to ensure high quality code and a consistent user experience.
? Work collaboratively with Visual Designers, Back-end Developers and client Stakeholders.
? Ensure a consistent user experience across platforms and devices.
? Oversee and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to established coding and architectural standards.
? Maintain a working knowledge of company's applications and system integration and is able to understand changes in order to anticipate cross-system or cross-process impacts.
? Effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to appropriate stakeholders.
