We have an immediate contract opportunity for a Sr Web Developer , with one of our F500 clients in King of Prussia, PA
Client is a leading provider of commerce technologies, omnichannel operations and marketing solutions. Client has been driving and evolving the world of commerce since the early days of retailing on the web . Client is seeking an innovative, motivated Sr. Web Developer to develop and componentize the frontend and UI infrastructure and framework for next generation e-commerce platform. This is a challenging opportunity to develop technology solutions to meet the demands of diversified environments and clients.
As a member of a cross-functional development team, Sr. Web Developer works closely with Product, Operations, Database, Architecture, QA, Project Management, and Product Management teams to promote the best practices of building e-commerce frontend solutions on top of next generation e-commerce platform, componentize the feature sets, and/or extend the functionalities. The Sr. Web Developer participates in all phases of product development including: planning, analysis, design, development, QA and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
o Promote the best use of core UI componentization framework to design and implement the features requested by internal and external product and software teams.
o Participate and contribute the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure/framework/component of various projects that result from internal demands and/or external client requests.
o Develop technology solutions with a thorough understanding how technology decisions impact e-commerce product platform, services, and business.
o Interactively design and implement bridged frontend UI solutions for missing integration and/or extension of the core features based on existing and/or extension of the core UI componentization framework and target for potential productization in new releases.
o Identify, evaluate, and formally recommend third party solutions and services as needed.
o Produce detailed and accurate documentation related to existing and extended frontend UI components and assigned tasks.
o Promote highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with all levels of product, services, and third-party development teams.
o Mentor and/or share experience with team members.
Job Requirements
o BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical or art field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in UI development and creative/artistic design.

years hands-on experience with web frontend UI development and creative design within J2EE environments.
o Expert knowledge of common web frontend technologies and/or packages such as HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax, Flash/Flex, and/or jQuery/Dojo/YUI.
o Knowledge of responsive design techniques, development practices, and supporting libraries
o Hands-on experience with web template languages (e.g. JSP, Velocity, and/or FreeMarker).
o Good knowledge of common web frontend UI and creative design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.
o Good understanding and working experience of XML and related technologies (e.g. XSD, XSL, and XQuery).
o Good knowledge of design patterns, componentization approaches, SEO and other front end concerns.
o Experience in cross-platform development concerns
o Working knowledge of Java
o Working knowledge of Automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG
o Working knowledge of J2EE application server configuration, setup, and management
o Working knowledge of automated build utilities and Continuous Integration solutions.
o Well-presentable portfolios in the design and development of frontend UI components, applications, and solutions.
