We are currently adding a Sr. Industry Standard Server (ISS) Engineer to our team. The primary purpose of this position is for assessment, design, and implementation of Microsoft Infrastructure solutions, such as Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, in conjunction with our server, storage, and networking teams. This position will also be responsible to implement virtualization solutions for our clients utilizing such tools as VMware and Hyper-V as well as performing knowledge transfer to customers and seeking for additional opportunities to help our customers improve their IT environments.
This position has the following primary
Responsibilities:
Works with Sirius sales team to qualify and scope project opportunities
Delivers Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Infrastructure customer projects, leveraging best practices and best-of-breed technologies
Interfaces with IT architects, storage engineers, and networking engineers to architect modern Microsoft Infrastructure and Virtualization solutions
Translates IT issues and requirements into actionable projects
Participates in the development of strategic practice initiatives and development of new Microsoft Infrastructure and Virtualization solutions
Develops customer relationships with customers in conjunction with Sirius sales teams
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or related field
At least five (5) years of experience designing, implementing, migrating, and managing Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft environments and engineering Microsoft Infrastructure enterprise solutions, including Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, and Server 2008r2
Other Position Requirements
Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies including vSphere, vCenter management suite, Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Director, and View(Horizon)
Experience with x86 server blade and rack-dense technologies including IBM, HP & Dell
Experience with Microsoft virtualization technologies including RDS, AppV & Hyper V
Demonstrated experience working with internal/external customers to achieve IT goals
Demonstrated communications and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead projects
Preferred Qualifications
Certification(s) in: MC-ITP - Enterprise Administrator, MC-ITP - Enterprise Messaging Administrator, MCTS - Office Communications Server, and/or Symantec STS EV9
Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, Microsoft Certificate Services, Microsoft Clustering Services, Microsoft SQL Servers, and/or Microsoft SharePoint
Demonstrated experience working with industry standard servers, storage, and networking systems
Demonstrated experience with HyperV and System Center
