Description:
We currently have an opening for a Chief Engineer with extensive U.S. Army Systems Engineering experience to lead and manage all activities on complex Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
These systems typically include the integration of sophisticated sensors (EO/IR, SIGINT, Hyper-Spectral (HSI), LIDAR, Radar), communications and data links, onto aircraft (with avionics), and the development of the associated Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) capabilities.
Job Description
Leads overall technical systems engineering and integration oversight across one or more programs/projects involving the development, manufacture, integration, test and support of complex airborne ISR systems.
The successful candidate must be able to perform and manage system tradeoff studies; manage requirements analyses and traceability; oversee size, weight and power (SWAP) management; develop test and integration plans; participate in airworthiness evaluation and oversee final test and acceptance.
The candidate must have domain knowledge in all relevant areas, to include; hardware and software integration, aircraft and aircraft systems and integration, ISR sensors, communications, survivability equipment, workstations and software, airworthiness, and integration and test.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience on U.S. Army Airborne ISR programs that encompass systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operation.
A Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical discipline (major in Computer/Electrical Engineering with knowledge of Aeronautical Engineering preferred). A Master of Science degree preferred.
Broad technology experience in airborne ISR systems, systems engineering, ISR sensors, communications, workstations, ground stations, processing and exploitation of collected ISR sensor data, and requirements tracking and flow-down.
Hands-on experience integrating complex ISR systems and sensors on aircraft is required.
Ten (10) years demonstrated experience as a senior systems engineer on complex projects with multiple tasks.
Six (6) years demonstrated experience leading systems engineering teams and estimating resources for systems engineering tasks.
Solid understanding of the U.S. Army Airborne ISR mission, and the U.S. Army Airborne Strategy.
Prior working relationship with PEO IEW&S, PM ARES and PEO Aviation, PM Fixed Wing
Five (5) years direct supervisory experience leading teams of engineers having a range of disciplines required to design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver an airborne ISR capability
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and experience in the development of proposals and capture management.
Demonstrated Business Development experience is highly desired.
Experience managing geographically separated team management experience.
Willingness to travel in CONUS approximately 30% of the time plus occasional international travel.
Security Clearance TS/SSBI/SCIEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
