Information Technology Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required
Bachelors Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field
SAP Netweaver Certification is preferred
3 years of Exclusive SAP Basis experience including administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
2 years of Exclusive experience with XI/PI, version 7.01 or higher
Experience with XI/PI, version 7.30 or higher is a plus
Experience with 2 or more of the following: ECC, BW/BI, Solution Manager and/or Wily
Experience in Enhancement Packages and Switch framework implementation
Experience with system refreshes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
Additional work hours as required, including weekends
Requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and/or internationally
Requires a valid drivers license and favorable motor vehicle report
Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a passport
DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS: The Basis Systems Administrators role is to manage the SAP Landscape implemented on a virtualized WINDOWS and MICROSOFT SQL SERVER ENVIRONMENT. Administrative functions may include the system/component installation, installation of patches, landscape maintenance, transports, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and other duties necessary to maintain a reliable and high performing system.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Install, upgrade, tune and troubleshoot SAP NetWeaver Business Suite.
Interface with other Infrastructure teams such as Server and Database Support.
Assist the Infrastructure and Database teams in the requirements definition and design of High Availability/Disaster
Recovery (HA/DR), backup/restore, and monitoring.
Research and implement solutions for Basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring and tuning, systems configurations, designs and implementation.
Provide documentation for technical and process related activities.
Provide support and maintenance for daily administrative tasks including transports, OSS notes, performance monitoring, root cause analysis, etc.
Setup, configure, and troubleshoot complex environments (e.g. clustering, high availability, load balancing).
Function as point of contact for production SAP BASIS related issues.
Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all server environments.
Keep management up-to-date on any outstanding production related issues.
Provide training, written support and assistance to support personnel (Help Desk, computer technicians, trainers), internal/external customers, and management.
Participate in on call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Adhere to company software licensing policies and practices.
