Responsible for ensuring United Bank customers receive fast, friendly service and that common courtesies are extended to every customer. Directs the day to day operational activities of the Financial Services Representative (FSR) area, directly supervises FSR to ensure each customer's experience is positive and memorable, trains staff on operational issues, is knowledgeable of policies and procedures, and makes judgment decisions and coaches for referrals. Responsible for expanding and deepening customer relationships by identifying customers' needs, matching their needs with appropriate products and services, and coaching the FSR team to do the same. The Head Teller, in coordination with the Branch Manager is responsible for the operational integrity of the retail office. Also, may be called on to oversee the office in the Bank Manager's absence, where there isn't an Assistant Manager.
Primary Duties
Performs normal FSR duties on a daily basis.
Aides in or provides training for new FSRs.
Monitors FSRs to ensure compliance with regulations, customer service standards, and policy and procedure are met.
Works with Branch Manager to determine where areas of improvement are needed in staff and/or procedures.
Assists FSRs in the absence of Branch Manager to find cash discrepancies.
Approves checks for cashing in the absence of Branch Manager within limits assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
