Requirements:
DoD 8570 compliant (IA Workforce Certification, Technical II), to include a CompTIA Security
certification, or equivalent, and Computer Environment training /experience such as Microsoft Windows Server 2003, or higher, and MS Windows XP, or higher. Network
certification desired. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
An associate''s degree or higher plus 2 years work experience
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, software, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
Provide end user desktop and class room support and troubleshooting.
Experience:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server and related technologies including Active Directory
Familiarity with RAID disk technologies.
Familiarity with network infrastructure.
Knowledge of Server Applications.
An understanding of patch management software.
Familiarity with Backup software and strategies.
Knowledge and understanding of network applications, web servers, email servers, firewalls, databases, file shares and print servers.
Demonstrated customer support/ people skills
Additional knowledge:
Knowledge of Cisco switch configuration and maintenance, Microsoft SharePoint, scripting, Windows XP and Vista, HTML, ASP, Javascript and Actionscript programming a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
