A Prestigious University in Boston is looking to add a Project Manager to their team. This position is a 6 month contract to permanent opportunity.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing a single program portfolio as well as managing the execution of large enterprise projects and project teams through the full project lifecycle. The PM is accountable for delivering to committed scope, on time and within budget. He/she represents IS&T to business stakeholders and acts as the business relationship manager.
The PM contributes to definition of IS&T portfolio and project management processes and leads other PMs by demonstrating use of these processes and providing mentoring.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- 65%: Manage multiple projects for IS&T. Manage project teams and delivery of projects including requirements gathering, project planning, resourcing, execution, change control, issue/risk management, and regular status communication to IS&T and business stakeholders.
- 10%: Contribute to definition of the IS&T portfolio and project management processes, utilizing project management standards and best practices.
- 5%: Mentor other project managers and project team members, to build the understanding and utilization of the IS&T project management process.
- 20%: Act as the business relationship manager for IS&T, managing relationship with business stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives, developing roadmaps, managing the project portfolio, and preparing annual planning and budgeting project proposals.
