Salary: $9.50/hour
Responsible for assisting teachers and assistants in providing care and supervision of children ages newborn to 12 years of age in the Daycare Program at Journey Home. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and co-workers. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards.
EDUCATION
Must be a high school graduate or hold an equivalent diploma equivalent diploma attained through successful completion of the general education development (GED) test.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience working in a daycare or education setting required. Proven ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of chemical dependency and professional ethics. Must be creative, enthusiastic and have a high energy level.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
A valid Minnesota driver's license and a driving record in good standing required. Any persons who have direct client contact must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems includes the following:
Criminal activity related to chemical use;
Chemical use that has a negative impact on the employees job performance;
Chemical use that affects the credibility of the treatment services with clients referral sources or other members of the community; and
Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
