Perform accounting procedures, including maintaining and analyzing general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll subsidiary ledgers within Patient Accounting and Administration department. Process, record and analyze transactions in connection with the preparation of companys monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and closings, including medical code billing, monthly aging report analysis, and follow-ups on Account Receivables and Deductibles using experience with dental and medical accounting practices. Work closely with insurance companies to appeal and negotiate denial claims and perform the necessary accounting practices to amend, revise and/or reconcile companys financial documents accordingly per insurance appeals and negotiations. Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital and prepare balance sheets, profit/loss statements, reconciliation summaries, and other reports to summarize the current financial position of dental practice. Prepare management reports outlining overhead costs and flag costs and expenses that are outside of normal patterns to allow practice to understand and remedy reasons why supply costs are high or other factors affecting profitably, such as patient turn-around time, inefficient office operations and/or procedures, hygienist vs. dentist production, compensation and billing amounts, etc. Ensure that final reports conform to established principles, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and prepare work paper schedules to support financial statement amounts. Prepare budgets and cash flow projections as well as assist in the preparation and review of various corporate tax filings, such as sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, commercial rent tax returns, and federal/state tax returns. Confer and liaise with other in-house Accountants as necessary, including assisting in an in-depth analysis of potential financial and business ramifications due to changes in health care laws, dental practices, and insurance laws/standards using knowledge of dental/medical accounting issues.
Five (5) years postgraduate progressive experience in specialty field
Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
