EQUIPMENT CLEANER RESPONSIBILTIES:
Must disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment, requiring understanding and retention of set procedures and the ability to detect variations from standard.
Requires standing, bending and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must work in steam room (hot environment).
Must maintain assigned areas according to set sanitation standards.
Must have some mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to work without close supervision.
Ability to operate a forklift truck and pass licensing requirements.
Must move product scrap containers, modules and wire baskets throughout plant as needed (requires pushing/pulling up to 800 lbs.).
Must operate a floor scrubber.
Ability to work from heights on a ladder or hijacker.
Must remain on job for one year due to training requirements.
SANITATION SUB LEADER
Responsibilities:
Summary Working roles that coordinate and assist the Leader in the Sanitation department. The Sub Leader supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in sanitation of equipment and the facility, while filling in for Leader vacations and NS days, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assesses manpower, equipment, and supplies to insure sanitation of equipment and facility within the standards of Pepperidge Farm.
Analyzes equipment performance and inputs work orders into the SAP system accurately describing problems of the equipment and how it relates to inferior production of product.
Interprets schedules, memos, and other documents and assigns duties to complete production or other essential tasks.
Coaches personnel on performance requirements. This includes working with Leader in properly communicating information on policies and procedures to work group.
Insures all SQF, HACCP, CTS, Safety, and Hygiene standards are adhered to.
Communicates thoroughly with the previous shift regarding personnel problems, unfinished task workload, special requests or requirements, crewing shortages, schedule changes or any situation requiring attention.
Conduct job specific training for new/existing employees in all plant programs.
Directs workers in sanitation of machines, process and equipment to meet sanitation and quality standards.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve sanitation methods.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Maintains time and sanitation records. Inputs data in Access database, AS400 and SAP computer systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly leads up to 10 employees in the Sanitation department, while covering for Leader vacation and NS days. Carries out Leader responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
