Level 1 Inspector is responsible for testing processed parts against job folder specifications to ensure parts are being processed properly and within customer specifications.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Perform all inspection testing functions
File thickness and surface roughness specimens
Complete AQM forms
Maintain resources, reorder as needed
Perform all Visual and Mechanical inspection of thermal and dry film lubed spray parts
Provide services as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative
Create inspection reports
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Ability to effectively use basic mechanical measuring equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist others as directed by the Quality Manager
Strictly observe all environmental, health and safety policy requirements
Keep work area neat and orderly at all times
Wear all required personal protective equipment when and where required
Report safety events, unsafe conditions, near misses, etc. to Shift Lead immediately

Timely delivery
Completeness and accuracy of documentation
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs
Most work time spent standing in a factory environment
Minimum
Qualifications:
Team player
Basic math skills
Flexible schedule required, over-time required when necessary
Good mechanical dexterity
Organized and detailed
Integrity and assertiveness
Desirable Previous
Experience:
Experience in Thermal Spray operations
2 -3 years experience in a metallurgical laboratory environment helpful
