General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Program Security Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work within the Security organization supporting programs relating to some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various projects to gain insight and become proficient in basic industrial security disciplines such as personnel, physical, and program security. In addition to receiving a competitive wage, the Intern will enhance their skill set through hands-on experience, especially after receiving a clearance. Key Responsibilities
Program Security Interns will have an opportunity to understand and assist with the implementation of the founation policy documents (e.g., the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) that guide companies in their USG contracts.
Additional Responsibilities
Learn specific security disciplines within Program Security.
Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDAIS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDAIS's services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
Program Security Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program relatinig to Industrial Security with the intent to support USG industrial contracts, with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.
Department of Defense TS security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
