Technical Skills Required :
o Good understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
o Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security including virus, malware, attacks, and vulnerability management
o Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills
o Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation
o Customer service including the resolution of customer escalations, incident handling, and response
o Use of Anti-Virus, IDS, IPS, and/or other signature matching technology
o Subject matter expert (SME) in one or multiple areas such as Windows, Unix, midrange, mainframe, firewalls, intrusion detection, threat detection analysis, or information risk management
o Ability to think strategically, work with a sense of urgency and pay attention to detail
o Ability to follow detailed process and procedure documentation
o Independent thinking, willingness to step outside the box and take reasonable, calculated risks
o Demonstrated ability to be reliable and flexible
o Strong team player that collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
