This position is responsible for supervising and mentoring HES Specialists in designated areas of responsibility. This position will have additional responsibilities for providing HES related technical support and consultation within the Oxy Williston organization to achieve HES goals and objectives.
Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinate with Team Leads, HES Manager, and HES Specialists to:
Clearly define and prioritize roles and responsibilities for HES Specialist position.
Establish annual goals and objectives for HES Specialist position.
Ensure adequate resources are provided to HES Specialists to accomplish goals and objectives.
Define annual development plans for HES Specialists.
Conduct periodic one on one meetings with HES Specialists and Team Leads to:
Monitor progress toward defined HES goals and objectives.
Determine opportunities for continuous HES performance.
Ensure adequate HES support is being provided.
Provide guidance to HES and Operations personnel on daily HES issues.
Ensure regulatory reporting and recordkeeping is timely and accurate.
Provide support in project implementation for new HES initiatives.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of HES key performance indicators (KPI's). to various management levels within the organization.
Coordinate the collection of data related to HES key performance indicators.
Conduct trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop KPI reports.
Ensure HES support and consultation is provided as needed for new construction projects.
Provide guidance to insure that all HES and Regulatory requirements are initiated and completed timely.
Provide guidance to insure timely communication across all internal and external functional groups.
Provide HES functional approval for project AFES.
Coordinate and participate as needed in incident investigation initiatives.
Lead and participate in TapRooT Root Cause Analyses as needed.
Review incident investigation reports as required to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate and participate as needed on contractor safety audit initiatives.
Coordinate and participate as needed in internal HES related audits.
Participate in local SERE Team meetings in designated areas of responsibility.
Actively promote the SERE and BBS initiatives.
Bachelors degree in engineering or science or a minimum of 10 years related work experience, preferably in oil and gas exploration and production operations.
Thorough knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Computer skills.
Project leadership / management experience.
Interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to relate across all levels of the organization.
Ability to coach and mentor direct reports to drive continuous HES improvement in the organization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
