Job Description PURPOSE:
Assists in the development and implementation of goals, MTL, analytical reports and process, business planning, performance management (reviews and calibration) and POA/meeting development and field communications. Provides input and guidance to the development of all DEP strategic initiatives in collaboration with Medical, Sales, Legal, DM, FFE, HR and Training.
Responsible for representing DEP in the development of field execution (tactical pull through and field execution), data analytics/reporting (dashboards, business updates), cLEAN communications (Field collaboration/communication, FIT management), and resource management and utilization. Provides input and guidance to the development of all DEP field initiatives in collaboration with Medical, Sales, Legal, DM, FFE, HR and Training.
RELATIONSHIPS:
o External relationships include strategy consultants and/or other vendors.
o Reports to the Associate Director of DEP Operations. Closely collaborates with internal teams to ensure DEP alignment with current regulations. Internal relationships include working closely with the VP of DEP, home office marketing DIR, Field Force Effectiveness and Managed Markets Strategy. Additionally, close collaboration with the field-based DEP Director team and with home office cross-functional teams, especially Legal, Human Resources, and Training
Essential Functions:
BUSINESS EXECUTION:
o Collaborates closely with DEP, DM and legal to align DEP operations and to coordinate development of strategic initiatives by the DEP team.
o Liaison to DEP field directors to manage the execution of area strategies and tactics that support national DEP Strategy and DM plans.
o Liaison to DEP field directors to develop area level strategic and tactical plans that support national DEP Strategy and DM plans.
o Participate in Field Leadership Team meetings upon request.
o Manages the development of field goals ensuring proper field behavior, strategies and objectives are achieved
o Assists in the performance management process including: mid-year, year-end reviews, and calibration.
BUSINESS PLANNING AND EXECUTION:
o 3P goals calculation, review and reporting. Ensure targeting is optimal and accurate.
o Prepare pertinent business reports/documents in advance of DEP meetings and strategic planning.
BUSINESS PLANNING:
o Translate national strategy and create/develop area and district level functional business plans
o Review Field Director business plans and coordinates with DIR operations to ensure proper alignment to national strategy
o With Field Force Effectiveness, manages the execution of field business planning and mid-cycle reviews encompassing DM and all field partners.
COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION:
o Develop incentivizing contests to drive field sales collaboration.
FISCAL
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for staying within operations budget
DEP & FFE LIAISON:
o Identifies problems and implements solutions for current and future DEP programs.
DEP & MARKETING LIAISON:
o Interfaces with marketing DIR to review, analyze, and evaluate DEP field materials, pull-through and customer engagement practices
o Provides leadership to assure effective teamwork and transparency between DEP Marketing, and other marketing functions.
FIELD & MARKETING LIAISON:
o Manages the execution of DEP micro-marketing business plans and pilots at the national and local levels.
o Manages the cLEAN communications to both field and home office at the intra and inter department level.
DEP MEETINGS EXECUTION:
o Ensures DEP collaboration with Sales, Marketing, HR, Legal and CMR.
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS:
o Analyze patient adherence data and DE call activity/metrics reports.
o Cascade and educate national level data insights and conclusions to DEM/ADs, as appropriate.
o Develop and facilitate DEP reporting with the objective of standardizing reporting within NNI guidelines.
o Identify issues with DEP field reports and implement changes to improve reporting.
o Works with RFT team and identifies trends, challenges and business opportunities within data. Interpret data outliers and potential scenarios that would cause skewed results.
o Manage and coordinate the development of ad-hoc data requests and analyses.
GENERAL:
o Acts in accordance with the Novo Nordisk Way.
o Works within all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Approximately 10 - 30 % overnight travel
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
o A minimum of 3 years within sales, sales, marketing, brand management or analytics experience required.
o Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
o A Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
o Strong cross-functional leader and communicator.
o Strong strategic and business analytic skills.
o Ability to work independently and self-manage.
o Excellent verbal/written communication skills are required.
o Sharp attention to detail and confidence to produce flawless deliverables.
o Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
