Privately held metal fabrication company that has been providing innovative manufactured products for over 50 years is looking to add a Financial Analyst to their team. The company is experiencing fantastic growth and they are looking for candidates that are truly passionate about progressing their careers.
Position Overview
This position provides Company and Value Stream management with thoughtful analysis and actionable recommendations based upon appropriate, accurate and complete analysis of value stream operations. This is a matrix position which will have a matrix reporting relationship to both the Value Stream Manager and CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Value Stream Manager and CFO by preparing clear and thoughtful analysis of operations
Responsible for translation of the Value Stream s annual plan into an annual budget, periodic forecasts and volume projections.
Assist management in developing assumptions regarding the volumes of business which could be expected under the current business plan and under alternative strategies.
Assist in the evaluation of assumptions for reasonableness and consistency. Call to the attention of the CFO and Value Stream Manager those assumptions which appear to be unreasonable or inconsistent.
Enter data, representing assumptions, into plan, forecast and other planning models.
Gather current operating data; check for reasonableness, consistency and errors; enter data into simulation models.
Prepare monthly reports which include Balance Sheet and Income Statement forecasts, manufacturing cost analysis, box score analysis, capital expenditure justification and other ad hoc analyses.
Reconcile forecasts with actual operating results, report and explain variances, and make and implement recommendations for improvement.
Prepare monthly analyses of product profitability and continually review methodology to improve and enhance results.
Conduct cost/benefit analysis and/or breakeven analysis for various projects assigned by the CFO and Value Stream Manager.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Helps the company meet its Quality objectives.
Other duties may also be assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
MBA or CPA preferred
3 to 5 years of work in a manufacturing business
Cost accounting or Operational experience preferred
Working Conditions:
This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 20 pounds. During the course of work, the incumbent may be subject to external weather conditions.
Travel required for this position is less than 5%.
This position may be eligible for relocation benefits.
