Business Data Analyst
Our client is growing and is currently searching for an experienced Business Data Analyst to design, develop, implement, and maintain business solutions for information delivery. The Business Data Analyst (BDA) creates both custom and standardized reports, conducts analysis, and provides recommendations for process improvements. The BDA will work directly with stakeholders to define requirements and will interpret results using a variety of tools including dashboards, scorecards, reports, and technologies.
Position Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Responsibilities Include: o Build and execute SQL queries on multiple platforms to generate reports o Develop processes to improve reporting capabilities o Manage and support a variety of automated reports o Develop productivity reports, dashboards, scorecards, and manage ad hoc requests from all business units o Centralize and automate current inventory of operational reports from across the collections, customer service, and recovery operation o Excellent attention to detail, and solid analytic skills o Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with internal clients and all levels of management including executives o Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively in a fast paced environment
Requirements Include:
High School Diploma
o 5
years writing queries and retrieving data on a large RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) o Experience developing reports and dashboards o Intermediate to advanced structured query language (SQL) knowledge o Ability to write and tune SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions o Knowledge of Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server o Works effectively as a member of a team and independently
Preferred:
o B.S. in Computer Science, CIS, or MIS, or documented work experience in the field, minimum of five years o Five or more years experience creating and maintaining management reporting in the consumer finance industry o Two or more years developing Qlikview applications o Accomplished track record working with Operations to develop reporting on key portfolio performance metrics o Prior experience in a retail and/or consumer finance environment
Knowledge of SSMS, SSIS, and PowerPivot
o Proficiency in MS Access and Excel
