Develop, implement, administer, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Resolves database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues.
Requirements:
Position requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered on a case by case basis.
Hands on experience with designing and implementing database strategies in both MYSQL and Oracle
Managing Large Scale and Medium MySQL and Oracle Databases
Managing high transactional MySQL and Oracle databases
Experience in designing repetitive processes with enterprise backup and recovery strategies and database software management (patch and version management)
Scripting ability, good working knowledge of either Shell Scripts or Perl programming etc.
Vulnerability management of the core infrastructure
Solid understanding of MySQL/Oracle internal architecture, demonstrated experience with MySQL/Oracle database design, implementation, performance tuning and capacity planning
Performance tuning
Query optimization
Capacity planning
Performance/Utilization monitoring
Using SSL for secure connections with MYSQL/OracleEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
