Superpedestrian, a Cambridge-based start-up, is seeking a Part-Time Prototype Machinist/Model Maker to join the Copenhagen Wheel Hardware Development team. The ideal candidate has an interest in start-up life, innovation, and a desire to use their experience to position Superpedestrian for exponential growth.
This is a part-time on-site job at our office in Cambridge, MA.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with manual/CNC milling machines and lathes
Strong working knowledge of shop math and trigonometry
Minimum 5 years of experience working as a hands-on machinist with all common machine shop tools
Excellent materials and tooling knowledge with the ability to independently select cutters, speeds, and feeds
Preferred Qualifications
Formal training in GD&T
Experience with quality control methods such as first article inspection and lot sampling
Experience with Fagor CNC controls and programming
