The International Economic Growth Division manages projects that are pioneering new approaches to agriculture, food security, climate change, and competitiveness--as well as monitoring and evaluating projects within these sectors. We work throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East for chiefly governmental clients, including the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Opportunity
Abt Associates seeks a Business Development Specialist in the International Economic Growth Division. Responsibilities include:
Track new business opportunities using a variety of internet sources and distribute relevant opportunities to New Business Teams and other appropriate individuals.
Research donors to understand their general policies, how they function, and what political environment.
Conduct long-term and short-term strategic research that informs the growth strategy of the LOB.
Assist in capture efforts from the office and/or in the field.
Maintain files for the following New Business documents: Teaming Agreements, Consulting Agreements, B&Ps.;
Open new business opportunities in APPS START for sales tracking purposes.
Skills Prerequisites
Language fluency in French or Spanish preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
BA with 3 - 5 years of experience OR MA/MBA (Entry Level) OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
