Part Time Tellers are responsible for ensuring warm, caring and friendly service is provided to all customers. They are knowledgeable about the products and services offered through First Citizens and proactively identify opportunities to refer customers to their colleagues as well as match and propose basic products and services. They act in a pivotal role within the banking center, ultimately ensuring an optimal customer experience. This role has day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of superior customer service, operational integrity, and adherence to bank policy as well as all Federal and State regulations. They routinely demonstrate and apply the standards of We're on it that support the bank's core values of service, accountability and common sense in day-to-day performance.
The Part-Time Teller will work the following schedule:
Monday, 11AM-5PM
Tuesday, 11AM-5PM
Thursday, 11AM-5PM
Friday, 11M-6PM
Management reserves the right to adjust schedule and add hours as needed.
Sales Performance and Leadership
Practices the standards of We're on it and Customers First in every customer interaction, adding value to the customer experience and helping to maintain satisfactory branch survey results
Takes ownership of customer requests and resolves issues at first point of contact where an immediate solution exists
Refers complex customer requests to appropriate associate or resolves requests with support from supervisor or other team members
Maintains an awareness of products and services offered by the bank and it's affiliates
During customer interactions, identifies opportunities to uncover customer needs and match benefits of basic financial products and services
Where appropriate, sells basic ancillary products during the customer interaction
Uses self analysis techniques to assess opportunities to improve personal quantity and quality of customer contacts and openly asks for coaching support
Operating Efficiency
Minimizes the number and dollar amounts of cash differences and operational losses
Operates within delegated authorities (service charge refunds, waived fees, check negotiation, cash limits)
Accurately completes documentation for all accounts minimizing errors to reduce customer impact
Completes annual training and assessments
Adheres to all bank policies and regulatory requirements
Communication/Teamwork/Partnering
Supports other team members in meeting bank sales objectives and goals by contributing to branch initiatives and referral activities
May be required to assist with the cash management of the vault
Participates in sales meetings, goal setting sessions and huddles, looking for opportunities to enhance personal and colleagues performance
Shares opportunities with supervisor to provide recognition or reward to associates
Performs other duties not described in the position description in support of the overall bank
Strong communication and customer service skills
Prefer prior customer service or money handling experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer skills to include Microsoft Windows
Ability to listen to customer needs/complaints and quickly decide how to remedy problems or refer to teller leader for assistance
Ability to identify, respond, and propose referral opportunities to customers
