JOB SUMMARY
Performs professional accounting in preparation, analysis and auditing of financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Prepares complex reports, maintains accounts, analyzes financial data and develops procedures to achieve more efficient record keeping or to improve current operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develops, set up and reconciles accounting systems, to track activity and produce reports.
2. Develops, set up and maintains reporting systems, collects and reports statistics, produces daily, bi-weekly and monthly reports. Ensures quality content of data; provides interpretation of data and advises as to implications and makes recommendations for adjustments as appropriate.
3. Prepares consolidated year-end financial statements, including footnotes, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with Board policies and practices, working closely with the Board's Finance Committee.
4. Works closely with the Chief Development Officer to track and report on all donations, income and expenditures.
5. Assists with preparing business plans and budgets for capital campaigns and major initiatives.
6. Develops Foundation Accounting and gift giving procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
o Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
o Minimum of one year of not for profit accounting experience is preferred.
o Experience with Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge and Crystal Reports is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
o Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS:
o Ability to work long hours during critical periods of time
o Attention to detail
o Ability to work independently

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
