Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems in the review and analysis of credit files, insurance claims, documents and/or processes for quality and compliance to bank policies and procedures, and/or government regulations. Represents organization as prime contact on projects. Provides input and influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the quality assurance function.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a formal change control program for Property Preservation, providing on-going tracking and assessment of changes related to process, technology, compliance and legislation/regulations.
- Support the change control tracking tool, creating and providing management and status reports.
- Analyze incoming change requests providing initial recommendations for approval/denial.
- Coordinate change control assessments, engaging management, technology, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Credit Risk, etc. as needed.
- Monitor approved change controls, following through to implementation and closure.
- Ensure procedures and testing materials are updated.
- Conduct testing of change controls at/after implementation.
- Analyze critical operations changes to ensure no gaps exist.
- Resolve any identified gaps.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal policy and procedures, identifying trends and opportunities for revisions or additions.
- Draft and/or assist in the review of procedures, training materials, change controls, projects and risk assessments.
- Analyze legislative and regulatory updates received to determine impact to current business processes.
- Ensure any changes required are effectively and timely implemented.
- Participate on any project teams resulting from Legislative and Regulatory Analysis changes.
- Facilitate smaller scale projects as required.
- Assist in drafting corrective action plans related to high trending error rates based on testing results.
- Analyze business unit responses, determining sufficiency of response and action plan.
- Monitor change control deliverable dates and action items, ensuring business unit management meets all commitments by the commitment date.
- Create and provide routine and ad-hoc reports analyzing testing results.
Position is in Des Moines, IA or Milwaukee, WI. Telecommuting is not an option.
Basic Qualifications
5
years experience in one or more of the following: quality assurance; operations; loan documentation; loan servicing; or underwriting.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2
years of quality assurance experience.
- 3
years of Default Servicing experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Well spoken with excellent written and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, highly complex environment.
- Ability to interact effectively with and influence various levels of staff and management.
- Ability to drive improvement and change.
- Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple and occasional competing priorities.
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Project management experience.
- Six Sigma experience or certification.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build partnerships through strong business collaborative efforts.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
