DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Entry level position for the routine, preventative and emergency repairs and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including leased locations. Complete work order requests in a timely fashion.
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
Maintains various equipment such as compressors, pump motors, and lighting.
Completes routine repairs of lighting systems.
Maintains daily, weekly and/or monthly reports as required.
Develops skill in at least one of the following disciplines: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general building trades
Works with and takes direction from the supervisor.
Learns, understands, and complies with fire, safety, and other emergency practices.
Informs the supervisor of any condition deemed to be unsafe.
Learns, understands, and complies with all Company and customer policies.
Participates in training directed at increasing job-related skills.
Assists in training of other employees as directed.
Works according to the schedule prepared by the supervisor.
Works overtime as needed.
Assists in emergencies as needed including emergency calls at non-scheduled hours.
Assists and ensures that all work areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition.
Reports to supervisor any information having the potential to affect customer or employee relations.
Performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school or technical school graduate
At least one year experience in maintianing building systems, property and/or grounds in a commercial environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used in HVAC services and building maintenance.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions quickly
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to keep simple records of activities performed and complete basic reports.
Analytical/Interpersonal Skills:
Well organized, hard worker, team player
Strong Analytical experience
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills in a fast paced environment.
Ability to maintain good working relations with other staff and building tenants.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
