# Description
UBS Securities LLC seeks Authorized Officers, Software Engineers in Stamford, CT to provide support to business users of settlement and trading applications and resolve technical issues that arise in the production environment. Participate in software development, interaction with user community, assist in requirements gathering and business analysis, software design, and review of architecture for SRA (Strategic Risk Analytics) program. Used subversion, git and cvs as version control systems. Implement sophisticated technical solutions using Java programming language and Sybase database technology. Gather functional requirements from users, perform requirement analysis, and design and implement technical solutions. Utilize web development tools including Scalatra, AngularJS and HTML 5. Perform server side development using Java, Scala and Gigaspaces. Utilize automated testing tools such as Jasmine and assist team in Test Driven Development (TDD) approach. Utilize Jenkins to Implement continuous integration frameworks.
# Requirements
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related position participating in the full software development life cycle at a financial services institution. Prior experience must include developing settlement and trading applications for equities settlements, fixed income products, operational risk, and back office processing; participating in the full software development life cycle including requirements gathering and business analysis, software design, testing and implementation; utilizing Java, Gigaspaces, NOSQL, Unix, Oracle, HTML 5, Scala, TDD, continuous integration, and agile/scrum methodology; and utilizing development concepts such as clean code, object oriented programming, and dependency injection frameworks. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the above-listed skills.
