Essential Responsibilities
Perform electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical production assembly operations on avionics equipment
Perform complex rework, soldering, wiring skills, and testing capability
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum 3 years of soldering experience
Eligibility Requirements:
Ability and willingness to lift/move material up to 35 pounds
Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
Ability and willingness to become J-Std certified within the first 30 days of employment (based on work assignment)
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift as this is a 2nd shift role
Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
Desired Characteristics
Proficient in the use of a personal computer and ability to navigate on-line documents and drawings
Minimum of 6 years industry or similarly related job experience
Prior experience working in a progressive teaming environment
Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions which may be technical in nature
Prior experience in set up and operation of SMT equipment and AOI Inspection equipment
Currently holds IPC-610 and /or J-STD-001 Soldering Certification
