Process mortgage loan payments, reversals, adjustments and cash transactions on the LPS loan servicing system. Set up and maintenance on Automatic Loan Payments (ACH). Perform payment research. Answer high volume of customer phone calls and emails.

Essential Functions:
Process Mortgage Loan payments & payoffs accurately.
Maintain clear audit trail on all cash transactions.
Process reversals, returned items and adjustments accurately.
Prepare daily cash work for balancing.
Prepare and balance and submit the daily deposits via branch capture.
Process suspense on a daily basis.
Able to handle the automatic payment plan inclusive of set up, application of payments, and cancellations.
Apply and balance daily work in accordance to procedures.
Send letters and answer correspondence as necessary.
Research payments through LPS reports and batch work as necessary.
Maintain close interaction with other payment processors to ensure daily work flow is managed effectively and completely.
Sort and process incoming and outgoing interoffice and US mail.
Respond professionally and timely to customer questions and/or problems on the phone and via email.
Cross train in other areas.

Qualifications:
One to two years Mortgage Loan experience, preferred
Proven accuracy on a data entry keyboard. LPS loan servicing system preferred.
Excellent communication skills-phone, personal contact and written.
General computer adaptability and P/C applications.
Basic knowledge of accounting.
General typing skills 40-50 WPM, Must have accurate 10-key by touch.
Able to compose and type professional letters.
Strong ability, desire, and enjoyment in working with others both employees, and customers in a cooperative, professional, and friendly spirit.
Must be a self-starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, manager, branches, and home office departments.
Good vision and hearing (corrected if necessary), able to sit for long hours, manual dexterity to include but not limited to, filing, reaching, and bending.
Possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
Able to work as part of a team as well as independently and with people of diverse backgrounds.
Good at problem solving, researching, and decision making.
Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.
Regular and punctual attendance.
Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Willingness to assume additional duties/projects as they arise.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
