We are seeking motivated individuals who are committed to excellence and are experienced in working with primary and secondary school students to work as Assessment Administrators for the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress. Assessment Administrators will conduct assessment sessions with 4th-, 8th-, and 12th-grade students in participating schools across the country. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and involves about 30 students. Assessment Administrators will work on a team but will also conduct some sessions alone. This opportunity is ideal for retired educators.
Candidates must:
Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English;
Have professional experience working in a team setting;
Have access to a computer with a broadband Internet connection (Dialup is not an approved Internet connection);
Be detail-oriented and able to work effectively on a team;
Be able to work with students in a classroom setting;
Be willing to submit fingerprints for a required FBI background check;
Have the ability to lift a box weighing 15 pounds and carry it up stairs with or without reasonable accommodations;
Have a valid (current) driver's license that is not under suspension and regular access to an insured, reliable vehicle in order to travel to and from schools;
Be available to work 20 to 30 hours a week, during school hours, from January 19 through March 6, 2015;
Complete all required training elements between January 2 and 23, 2015; and
Have access to an email account they do not share with other Westat employees.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon receipt of acceptable results from a background screening based on the specific position which will include, at a minimum, criminal records history.
This is a part-time nonexempt position with limited benefits. Pay will range from $12.50 an hour to $14.80 an hour and is based strictly on county of residence. Working on this study can be a fascinating, rewarding experience. If you are a reliable self-starter and have a minimum high school diploma or GED, this position may be right for you.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
