Job Description
The Program Management Internal Communications Rep. is part of the Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions communications team and manages internal communications including development of integrated annual plans for the program management function.
The position reports into the Director of Internal Communications & Community Affairs at IS&GS.;
Key
Responsibilities:
Develop annual communications plans and drive activity execution for program managers and program management office; within this capacity, sit on program management staff and provide counsel to and seek feedback from program managers and PM team.
Create and oversee content and provide leadership to develop innovative strategies for delivering effective employee engagement with program managers globally.
Partner with Business Development internal communications manager to ensure consistency of message and dissemination of competitive intelligence / program and sales information to teams
Support development of internal communications materials including messages about company changes to ensure consistency of tone.
Develop and draft program manager and employee stories for intranet promotion.
Establish communication channels for program managers including two-way feedback mechanism.
Routinely connect with program managers to ensure tactics are supporting efforts on program
Manage or participate in the planning of certain high-profile company meetings, and special events, including the preparation of agendas, scripts and related collateral materials
Establish events or tools that can be used to support PM communications on program
Deliver results on deadline and on/under budget; outline and gain consensus on deliverables; set/manage expectations; set scope/handle communications (launch, updates, completion) with project team and broader stakeholders; debrief for learning
Understand the broad range of tools, processes and practices of internal communications and employee engagement
Basic Qualifications
Excellent communications skills with strong writing and editing ability, including AP style
Experience in project management and relationship building with internal stakeholders
Strong understanding of internal communications and employee engagement processes
Experience in developing and executing strategic communications plans to internal stakeholders
Ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines
Strong writing, editing, relationship-building, problem-solving and oral/written presentation skills.
Candidate must be organized, enthusiastic, results oriented, innovative and able to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment.
Desired skills
Knowledge of Lockheed Martin IS&GS; business
Prefer a communications generalist with broad range of experience in a variety of communications disciplines.
Strategic and creative thinker with strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
