Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL CAD Technician Internship - Corvallis, Oregon
The challenge? Help to provide solutions, so that people around the world can have access to safe, life-sustaining water. Our CAD Technician Intern position is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be part of a teamsupporting the design and delivery of water, wastewater, and conveyance projects doingcivil drafting. You should be a self-motivated, responsible individual who is in thesecond yearof anassociate degree in drafting or engineering technology. You should also have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each internship opportunity.
Our CAD Tech Interns :
Have knowledge of basic drafting practices.
Are familiar with CAD principles (i.e., text placement and editing, layering, snap, precision input, etc).
Have the ability to perform basic geometric and trigonometric calculations and use basic drafting equipment.
Are able to communicate with team members to understand objectives, expectations, and preferred methods, proactively identify changes or issues, and ask questions that foster the development of self and team.
Organize their own assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
Work under direct supervision, prepare electronic drawing files within project standards, using sketches, layouts, project instructions and notes.
Are currently enrolled in a two-year drafting or engineering technology program.
Have experience working with AutoCAD or Microstation, and Microsoft Office.
Work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled in the second year of a two-year drafting or engineering technology program
Minimum 3.0 GPA
6 months experience working with AutoCAD or Microstation or both
6 months experience with Microsoft Office
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Able to work 20-40 hours per week
