About This Position
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Quality Management,the Quality Management Data Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating efficient and complete data abstraction with generation of data reports for review by the quality management staff. The Quality Data Coordinator provides technical support and data management necessary to facilitate improvement and timely internal and external reporting.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Experience
Five years in health care arena - nursing, quality/risk systems, or other related healthcare.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent. Advanced degree in computer science and/ or Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)highly desirable.
Special Skills
Computer proficiency required. Microsoft Office applications ? Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint essential. Proficient with statistical process control tools. Possesses information technology skills related to computer applications, spreadsheets, and data.
Ability to set priorities and manage work accurately and timely. Willingness to travel to other work settings essential. Able to handle confidential information. Must have ability to read with effective interpretation. Ability to use quality tools (flowchart, Pareto, run charts, control charts, fishbone diagrams) desirable.
