Strategic Post Operations Coordinator

Responsible for the day-to-day and strategic scheduling of the human and machine resources of Post Production Operations, located in the Discovery Creative and Technology Center in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Receive and implement scheduling requests for all services provided by post production operations, including but not limited to:
Editors and associated edit sessions
Audio mixers and associated sessions
SD and HD VTR's and associated resources
Satellite and fiber feeds
Studio reservations
Assess all requests based upon current status of sessions, machinery and personnel to determine most efficient use of all resources.
Check and report the status of each session to maintain the daily schedule.
Work with colleagues to ensure the schedule is accurate and completed in an efficient manner
Work with in house temp fulfillment team when requests are made that cannot be accommodated leveraging FTR employees
Assist Scheduling Supervisor in the long-term scheduling strategy of personnel and resources
Gather and report metrics associated with the job function
Other administrative duties as assigned
Must have two to four years experience in post-production scheduling
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work effectively under tight deadlines is essential.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required with a focus on excellent customer service.
Must work well in an active and fast-paced group setting.
Excellent people skills and a great sense of humor are vital.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the capacity to learn new databases and systems quickly.
Working knowledge of ScheduAll or other post scheduling software is required.
College degree in Communications or other related disciplines preferred.
