Job Description
Assures the integrity of physician compensation metrics, calculations and budgets. Actively communicates and presents information to Executives, Managers, Providers and Finance & HR support staff related to MD compensation and performance metrics. Uses reporting tools to develop ad hoc analyses to support local leadership and compensation committees in decision making. Is recognized and relied upon as a subject matter expert of the MCHS performance based physician compensation program. Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends options for standardizing and/or improving accuracy of physician compensation metrics and calculations. Ensures Mayo & regulatory requirements regarding physician compensation are adhered to by assigned sites(s); brings to attention of MCHS Administration potential risks (fair market value, Stark, etc.). Mentors, coaches, and trains site leadership, providers and Finance and HR staff regarding MCHS physician compensation program and metrics. Actively participates in site physician compensation committee(s) where decisions are made regarding local physician compensation issues. Provides guidance and education on MCHS standards and practices. Prepares annual compensation calculations. Meets with new physicians to educate on compensation calculations and reporting tools. Meets with leaders and physicians to address questions and/or concerns regarding accuracy of compensation metrics and/or calculations. Works with MCHS Comp Core Team to investigate and resolve and then communicates back to stakeholder. Responsible for modeling annual physician compensation budget for assigned sites(s). May also be responsible for budget of productivity based advanced practice clinicians (NPs, Pas) and possibly physician benefits.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance. Professional designation such as CPA or CMA in a plus. If degree is in Accounting or Finance, minimum of six years experience in accounting or finance is required. Other business related bachelor's degrees require a minimum of nine years of applicable accounting or finance experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
