Job Description
Dematic Corp. has a need based in our Hebron, KY office for an Electrical Controls Engineer. The successful candidate will have experience working in the material handling industry. Candidates must have the below
Qualifications:
Willingness to work weekends, overtime and to travel is a must. 40% 50% travel is to be expected.
Candidate should possess a willingness to work from high heights and work using lifts.
Candidates should have current, hands-on experience with Programmable Controllers. Five or more years of experience is preferred.
Expertise in the latest AB Logix or Schneider Electric (Modicon) is preferred. However, other PLC platforms will be considered as well.
Experience in HMI/SCADA programming is beneficial (Iconics, Wonderware, RSView, WinCC).
Candidates must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout and use of current networks such as devicenet, profibus, ASi, Ethernet.
Candidates must have current experience with the rigors of on-site startup/commissioning.
Candidates should have the capability to develop and/or follow a project plan knowing the importance of setting and meeting milestone dates.
Design work is required. The ability to work proficiently within the ACADE environment will be beneficial when being considered as a candidate.
All PLC controls industrial experience will be considered. However, working with material handling carton or tote conveying systems is a plus.
Experience in writing descriptions of operations and development of controls based physical layouts is expected.

Education:

Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Typically 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable
Direction of Others:
May provide general guidance or train lower level support staff.
Key Working Relationships:
Primarily intra-organizational contacts and some external contacts.
