This position is an entry-level Distribution Supervisor position within the Logistics Division. This position is provided guidance and support by more senior level Distribution Supervisors, Facility Manager, etc.
Supervises/leads a small work group (15-20 people) to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes. The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.
Ensures parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Assists office personnel to complete order processing by providing data on orders in process and resolves grief associated with orders. Responds to dealer calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete orders. Contributes to the development of an effective work force by assigning, directing and motivating employees to conform to defined and documented processes. Provides necessary on the job training. Contributes to improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the process. Embraces continuous improvement and the development of teams as a preferred operating method. Maintains high employee morale by ensuring basic elements of work discipline are delivered. Contributes to the overall team productivity by performing assigned tasks, normally performed by subordinates, such as filling orders, packing orders or storing receipts.
Typical internal customers include employees from two or more work groups in a Division. External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout worldwide markets. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past. The team or supervisor gives general instructions on what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and how it is typically done. The jobholder knows in advance the details of what needs to be done to serve customers and the standard procedures in place to accomplish it. They can change different parts of the standard approach to serve customers best, but cannot add or delete procedures without approval. The team or supervisor reviews work as it is being done and after it is completed. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Part Quality, etc.
Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).
The position requires knowledge of various purchasing and materials systems, receiving report processing, and state and federal shipping regulations. The position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, three to five years of job-related experience are typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
