IT Security Specialist / Systems Engineer
This is a 12 month
consulting role located either Weehawken, NJ or Stamford, CT. Financial services experience is required.
Requirements:
- 7
years Wintel / UNIX systems product engineering experience
- Strong experience designing / architecting solutions.
- Experience performing vendor product proof-of-concepts and detailed evaluation.
- Implement health checks, scripting, automation tasks for solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of network topologies and protocols, and associated security technologies,
- Good knowledge of routers, firewalls, load balancers and other network devices as well as experience working with Network teams to review firewalls and request changes.
- Document installation, operations guides and user manuals for various products.
- Design Business Continuity processes and conduct fail-over testing.
- Working knowledge of some of the following: DLP, anti-malware, vulnerability management and identification technologies, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Scripting knowledge preferred (i.e. Python, Perl, Shell).
Knowledge of the following products a strong plus:
- McAfee VSE, ePO, Policy Auditor, Vulnerability Manager, FoundStone
- SourceFire NIDS
- Symantec DLP, DLP for mail offerings
- FireEye web, content & email products
- UNIX/Linux packaging
deployment knowledge.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
