Programmer - Melville, NY.This is a direct hire position and the salary offered is $100K.
Skills and Requirements:
C+
programming skills:
3
years of experience developing C+
based software
Well developed experience with Linux IDE's and excellent general debugging skills
Solid understanding of Unix Shell and Python and familiar with other scripting languages (Perl, awk, tcl, etc).
Excellent SQL skills.
In-depth experience with STL and Boost
Expert level understanding of OO concepts and design patterns
Software optimization
Experience with high-performance systems and multi-threaded application development is a big plus
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields
Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Web programming skills:
Strong to Expert-level experience with web front-end and UI concepts.
Strong to Expert-level experience with JavaScript, AJAX, CSS and DHTML
Knowledge of Linux and/or NIX based operating systems.
Working knowledge of Tcl/Tk is a plus.
Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Bash, Perl, etc.) is a plus.
Previous experience working with Apache.
Strong experience in Python web frameworks such as DjangoEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
