Position Description: Conduct installation, configuration, monitoring, and response to security system for internet travel service company. Specifically, implement and operate performance and high availability security infrastructure. Assess potential risk and opportunities of vulnerability in network. Assist in planning, design, implementation, and support of all security systems, and their corresponding or associated software, including intrusion detection systems, vulnerability management solutions, security event management, and content filtering systems. Mitigate security vulnerabilities by providing strategic advice and guidance in the design and implementation of security control methods. Translate security vulnerabilities into risk-based business recommendations. Monitor real-time security events generated by varying network security technologies in order to discover potential threats to enterprise. Establish effective snapshots on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles to highlight progress, vulnerability, and status of Expedia, Inc. environments.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a computer systems/engineering-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Linux, UNIX operating systems; 2) SSL, DNS, LAN, WAN, Cisco devices; 3) FTP, SFTP, SSH, PGP, NFS; 4) TCP/IP based networking tools; 5) IBM, Dell, HP X86_64 bit servers; 6) IDS/IPS Systems (e.g. Sourcefire and Snort); 7) Security gateway appliances (e.g. Bluecoat and Websense); 8) DLP system implementation and maintenance; 9) Enterprise security management tools (e.g. Skybox); 10) Logging and event management tools (e.g. Splunk); 11) Layer 7 application protection methods and technology (e.g. Akamai Kona WAF); 12) Static code analysis and dynamic web application testing tools (e.g. HP Fortify, Acunetix); and 13) Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum and Kanban). Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Employer will accept educational equivalency evaluation prepared by a qualified evaluation service or in accordance with 8 CFR 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
