An international manufacturing company near Aiken, SC is looking for a Fabrication Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for equipment upgrade projects, equipment installations, process improvements and new product design and development projects. This is a high-volume plant that makes small, assembled, electro-mechanical components. Materials include stainless steel, brass and various plastics. The person selected for this position will lead a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineers and Technicians. He or she will support all departments regarding metal fabrication and machining. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar from an accredited university is required, along with at least 3 years of recent engineering management or supervisory experience in a busy manufacturing environment. A total of 8 years engineering experience is required. Fabrication and machining experience are strongly preferred. The Fabrication Engineering Manager will also participate and lead continuous improvement projects. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing skills will be helpful. Good communication and project management skills are critical. Experience with OSHA and EPA is also required. Travel is expected to beEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
